"Music Scene" - a concert hall for the city of Brno

The subject of this thesis is the design concept of the architectural study of a concert hall, namely the proposal for a "MUSIC SCENE" - the concert hall for the city of Brno. As part of this study is therefore designed a hall for 591 visitors. Hall enables performances to 90-member orchestra or choir. The solution is also operating and maintenance facilities necessary facilities like auditorium. The main emphasis was put on the acoustic solution, then the overall transparency in the operation of the building and the continuity of the building and the surrounding development mainly to the existing communication system that tries to respect.

Digital modeling of the orchestra sound

This report is guide along simulation of sound sources and orchestra. Basic physical characteristics necessary to the simulation of sound sources are described here. Description of the creation of directivity files in ODEON and theirs conversion from CATT-Acoustic to ODEON are described here too. Acquired directivity files were used for simulation of orchestra and for testing the directivity characteristics to room acoustics parameters.

Moravian-Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra of Ostrava, Černá louka

The building is located in the city Ostrava in Cerna louka, that is a city district very close to the center and river side, just in a middle of the ortogonal block build up area. The philharmonic is designed like a big block made of brass from which is rising the light glazed volume of the auditorium and where the volume of atrium is hidden in. This 2 volumes represent the future and past values of the city Ostrava. The volume of the auditorium is the only object in whole ortogonal area that is twisted. Due to this fact it gains uniqueness and dissimilarity. Thanks to that is becoming a new symbol of the city.

Music as a public space - New concept of Brno Philharmonic

The locality is situated on the Veselá street in the historic centre near to Besední dům – the main seat of the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra. The site adjacent to the unfinished housing estates was chosen in a competition authority in 2003 primarily thanks to the position next to Besední dům. I tried to create a variant solution which could offer insight into the issue. The aim was to design a functional, operationally and economically less demanding object where the hall has excellent acoustics for classical orchestral music with a capacity of about 1000 visitors.

"Theatre Music" - a concert hall for the city

The object of this diploma thesis is the concept of architectonic studies of concert hall – theatre music. The main functional scope of the projected building is concert hall with capacity of 542 visitors. Hall enables performances of choir up to 50 members and orchestra up to 80 members. Operative and service room of the concert hall background is one of the parts of handled task. The main accent was put on acoustic solution of the main hall and overall limpidity of the building operation. Building look and its solution is trying to supplement compactness of the urban unit with the respect to the surrounding build-up area.

Capacity of Hall is 724 spectators divided in three floors of auditorium and can host up to 85 of orchestral musicians and 50 members of choir. Concept makes architectural study, which respect surrounding buildings but creates interesting space.

Analysis of the Czech Philharmonic in terms of strategic communication

This thesis analyses strategic communication of the Czech Philharmonic. It provides an overview of the orchestra's historical developments with respect to changes of its chief conductors and describes its current internal and external communication strategy. The thesis examines internal communication within the Czech Philharmonic, subsequent integration of certain departments into its organizational structure and the way content is communicated to the public. It offers, therefore, a comprehensive insight into the internal and external communication of an institution of classical music. The methodology includes data collection through semi-structured in-depth interviews with executives of the Czech Philharmonic, as well as a marketing mix 4P. The research contains an analysis of three concert seasons in terms of dramaturgy and an analysis of the communication tools used by the Czech Philharmonic such as social networks, digital media and visual identity. A questionnaire survey examines how the use of communication tools impacts listeners' decisions, their perception of the way the Czech Philharmonic communicates and the impact on concert attendance. Municipal Primary Artistic School Brass Band Orchestra

The bachelor thesis focuses in detail on history of Municipal Primary Artistic School Brass Band Orchestra which is a part of the Elementary Art School in Dačice. In this context the thesis also mention the history of the Elementary Art School and brass festival Orchestra Celebration - Fest Band Dačice, in which the Town Brass Orchestra is a regular participant. It also focuses on three orchestra dirigents and two most eminent composers of brass music who come from Dačice - Rudolf Urbanec and Vladimír Fuka.
